Memoir Out of the many extra-curricular activities, the yearly musical is definitely one of the most memorable. I participated for the first time in the musical as a 7th grader, and we did Oliver! I got a minor lead, and had a blast. First, buddy up with your friends in the musical to trade off on food trips. This means that for each practice, one mom will go get food and crap for you and your group. It works pretty well if everyone contributes. Also, you find a sense of family in the musical, cause you all have to work together to make the show a success. At the end of the musical, you get to sign your name on the walls backstage. And the parents throw everyone a huge party!!! Overall, one of the BEST middle school experiences. And since it's directed by Mrs. Jackson (formerly Ms. Thayer), it's sure to be a hit, cause she knows what she's doing.
