What a great second day of school! Thank you to everyone for being attentive, respectful, and eager to learn!
Students, if you did not do this in class, please remember to put a label on your Chromebook with your first and last name. They all look the same and yours can easily be accidentally picked up by another student. You can use a sticky note or a removable sticker or piece of tape. This will be your Chromebook until you turn it in at the end of 8th grade, so take good care of it! Some of my past students have purchased a padded sleeve/cover to carry it from home to school. Looking on Amazon, there are many options that can be purchased for around $10 - $12. Also, please remember not to place heavy items on top of your Chromebook to avoid damaging the circuit board and/or screen.
Also, remember to charge your Chromebook each night! You do not need to bring your charger to school.
Keep it at home since there really is no place to use your charger at school.

Happy First Day of School! 🦊
What a great first day! We went over a lot of information today, so I understand that you may feel a bit overwhelmed. Remember, teachers will review procedures multiple times over the coming weeks to ensure clarity and understanding. I encourage you to ask questions and seek help when needed. My goal is for students to feel safe and comfortable in their new learning environment. I am confident this will be a rewarding, productive, and successful year for all!
Today, we reviewed school supplies and what materials you will need for class each day. As a reminder, please bring the following every day:
1. Your English/Social Studies white binder with the handouts in the front pocket
2. Binder Reminder (you received this in Homeroom today)
3. pencil bag/box with supplies (please have all supplies by Monday, August 17th)
4. school-issued Chromebook (you will receive yours this week!)
5. water bottle (optional)
* Please remember that rolling backpacks are not permitted on campus, unless prior authorization has been obtained from administration.
HOMEWORK
1. Complete the "Back to School" online survey (Google Form) by Friday. It was emailed to your student email account. Always use your school email account when completing school assignments.
2. Begin gathering school supplies. Today, you received a list of supplies (blue handout) with a checklist of supplies that are needed in our class. It is also posted below for your convenience. Please have supplies by Monday, August 17th. Thank you so much to those who donated Kleenex and wipes today! It is very much appreciated!
