7th Grade: Medieval World History- This class covers the years 450 C.E.- 1776 C.E. The focus is on economic, political, technological, social, military, and geographical growth and change within various world cultures over time. We will examine: China, Japan, Korea, Mongolia, India, South America, Central America, Europe, Northern Europe,The Pacific Rim, and many other places.The emphasis will be on how these cultures evolved and interacted with each other over time. We will also explore how these cultures shaped our current world.

ABOUT THIS CLASS: This class uses technology, HOWEVER: we will be taking notes, writing essays in class, using paper and pencil for tests and quizzes. We also use iPads, chrome books, film making software, video making software for projects. This class requires out of the box thinking and I want to hear what you have to say, so speak up. We will use SCHOOLOGY for some HW, Tests/Quizzes and assignment postings-SO YOU MUST CHECK YOUR EMAIL EVERYDAY. Powerschool is only used for your grades and attendance. EDLIO will be used as our social media hub. Plus this class runs the HMS podcast which will be very informative and educational.

SCHOOLOGY-where your HW and daily work will be posted and where you will upload digital assignments, and take your digital Tests/Quizzes.

About Mr.Stopford: Mr. Stopford lives in Orange County with his family. He enjoys music (some favorite bands-(The Clash, The Interrupters, Bob Marley, MxPx, LoFi, Chillwave The Stone Roses, The Descendents, Dub and ) spending time with his family, playing guitar, mountain biking, roasting his own coffee beans, looking for curriculum material, and is a brown belt in body combat, body attack, body step and a green belt in combat yoga. Favorite Authors: William Gibson, Henry Rollins, Jocko Willink, Emily Dickinson, Leigh Bardugo, Percy Jackson Fandom, All things Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings, loves technology for education. Favorite video games: EVE Online, and StormRaiders (extra credit for you if you can tell me what those are) Dislikes: driving, tomatoes (I don't know why), soda, people who sleep late and slackers, people who try to turn in work late,
