Spartan band is a year-long course designed to build upon the learnings of children with a year or less of experience on a band instrument. In a group setting, students will perform a wide variety of music at a number of public concerts. These performances will occur within both a traditional mass band ensemble as well as in the more challenging and rewarding structures afforded by small ensemble experiences.
The course is designed to be as non-threatening as possible. A positive approach is stressed and each student is allowed to develop his/her own talents at their own rate of realization.
