They are to research it and bring in a food from the country or from a similar country that shares the region. For example all the Central American countries share similar dishes and so do the Caribean Islands etc.
This is meant to be fun. Please bring the food in pre-cut or sliced so that the students can enjoy it and not spend time cutting up dishes for their classmates.
Please bring enough for 5 students and don't spend too much $ or time on preparation. Do not bring in fish dishes (they are too expensive) and typically they are not finished and end up in the trash.
Thank you in advance for helping your children research the country and it's typical dishes. I hope you will enjoy this project.
