Disaster Check-Out Procedures
Procedure for checking students out of school during a disaster:

Parent(s) most bring a note to the school with valid picture identification (drivers license). The note should contain the following information:
  • Date
  • Student's name and homeroom teacher
  • Time of day which the student was picked-up
  • Parent's signature
Bring the above information to the pull-up bars next to the lunch court and wait in line until your turn to be served. Upon presentation of the note, the office staff will locate your student on the field and bring him to the Command Post and check out center at the lunch court. When brought to the command center the student will be free to leave the premises with you. (Parents must pick up students from the Command Center at the lunch court).

NOTE: Students will ONLY be release to authorized family members whose names appeared in our SMUSD Health and Emergency Information card.
