The HMS  Rotary Mideract Club is busy on campus this year!  We want all students to have the opportunity to attend our speaker series and dances, and volunteer in our campus, local and international efforts.  We meet every Tuesday during lunch on campus.  Dances are in the gym and our speaker series is in the auditorium.  Mideractors have had many opportunities to develop their leadership skills this year:

August 24:      Welcoming new students to our campus
Sept. 1:          Attending our Speaker Series with Christopher Wong
Sept 2:           Escorting parents to classrooms for Back-to-School Night
Sept. 9:          Volunteering at lunch to prepare materials for Pinwheels for Peace event
Sept 14:         Training with other campus leaders following the Rachel's Challenge Assembly
Sept. 15:        Planning and attending our first all campus dance

Sept. 22:       Mideract Meeting in the gym at lunch.  Our dance DJ has offered to speak to us about how to improve our dances.
Sept. 29:       Mideract Meeting at Lunch: Introduce the Rotary Four Way Test of the Things we Think, Say, or Do.
Oct. 6:          Speaker Series Tentative Speaker:  San Gabriel Valley Humane Society Director
Oct. 12:        Prepare for October dance benefiting San Gabriel Valley Humane Society
Oct. 18-23:   Support Red Ribbon Week activities on campus
Oct. 19:        Mideract Dance in gym
Oct. 23:        Volunteer with set-up for Hauntington Breakfast
Oct. 24:        Volunteer with Mideract Booth and Health and Wellness Booth at Hauntington Breakfast
Nov. 3:         Speaker Series:  Rotarian and Veteran Dr. Elliott Katz will be speaking about Veteran’s Day
Nov. 4-10:    Poppy Sales in remembrance of Veterans
Nov. 17:       Prepare for Thanksgiving Dance
Nov. 24:       Noontime Dance
